Jun-27-2025Today Im continuing my in-depth guide series for MapleStory Artale, focusing specifically on the Fighter class during their Second Job Advancement. As a Fighter myself currently sitting at level 51, Ive gathered a lot of experience and helpful tips th…
Let's be real — Fighters aren't the most popular warrior subclass in Artale right now. Spearmen are the crowd favorites thanks to their utility and mobbing, while Pages come in second for their elemental versatility. But Fighters have some really fun mechanics and a lot of potential once you get them going. This guide will help you push through that level 30–70 grind and set your character up for success.
Choosing Your Weapon: Sword vs. Axe
Fighters can choose between swords and axes, and can use one-handed or two-handed versions of either. The choice is ultimately up to your playstyle. That said, for this guide, I'll be referring to Sword/Axe Mastery as Weapon Mastery, and Sword/Axe Booster as Weapon Booster to keep things simple.
One-Handed Weapons tend to attack faster, while Two-Handed Weapons have higher damage ranges but slower speeds. Fortunately, Weapon Booster will help offset the slow speed of two-handers, so don't worry too much — go with what you enjoy!
Skill Build Breakdown: Fighter Second Job SP Allocation
Here's a detailed level-by-level breakdown of where I recommend putting your Skill Points (SP) from level 30 to 70.
Levels 30–36: Focus on Weapon Mastery
Skill Allocation:
• Level 30–36: +3 into Weapon Mastery each level
• At Level 36: Weapon Mastery should be at 19
This skill increases your weapon's stability by narrowing your damage range and adds accuracy, which is crucial for hitting higher-level monsters later on. Mastery should be the first skill you prioritize.
Level 37: Max Weapon Mastery
• Level 37: +1 into Weapon Mastery (to max it at 20)
• +2 into Weapon Booster
Now that your Weapon Mastery is done, we move onto Weapon Booster, which increases your attack speed. Faster attacks = more damage = faster training.
Levels 38–44: Boost Rage
• Level 38: +3 into Weapon Booster (should now be at 5)
• Levels 39–44: +3 into Rage each level
By level 44, Rage should be at 18. Rage is a Fighter-exclusive skill that provides a +10 weapon attack buff when maxed. However, be careful: In Artale, we have Snowflake buffs (from the World Coin shop) that give +20 weapon attack for 10 minutes. Rage will override Snowflakes with its lower bonus, which can cause frustration in party play. Use Rage only when grinding solo to avoid sabotaging your party's damage.
Level 45: Max Rage, Begin Power Guard
• +2 into Rage (maxed at 20)
• +1 into Power Guard
Power Guard is incredibly helpful. It reflects 10% of the damage back to monsters and helps you save a ton of potions.
Levels 46–55: Power Guard Focus
• Levels 46–54: +3 into Power Guard each level
• Level 55: +2 into Power Guard (maxed at 30)
• +1 into Final Attack
Now you should be taking less damage and dealing some back just by being touched. Excellent for crowded training spots.
Levels 56–65: Max Final Attack
• Levels 56–64: +3 into Final Attack each level
• Level 65: +2 into Final Attack (maxed at 30)
• +1 into Weapon Booster (should be level 6 now)
Final Attack has historically been bugged in old MapleStory, but in Artale, it works properly. This passive skill gives you a chance to follow up your Power Strike or Slash Blast with a second attack. As you level it, the proc rate and damage both increase.
Levels 66–70: Max Weapon Booster, Drop into Iron Body
Levels 66–70: +3 into Weapon Booster per level
At level 70, Weapon Booster will be maxed at 20, and you'll have 1 leftover SP — I recommend putting it into Iron Body just to give it a home.
Training Spots: Where to Level Your Fighter
During the background of this video, you'll see some training footage from my Fighter journey. Here are my favorite spots for each level range:
• Level 30–35: Wild Boars or Evil Eyes in Sleepywood.
• Level 35–45: Brown Teddies and Pink Teddies at Ludibrium.
• Level 45–55: Lunar Pixies or Luster Pixies in Orbis.
• Level 55–65: Zombie Lupins and Platoon Chronos.
• Level 65–70: Master Chronos or Grim Phantom Watches if your accuracy is good enough.
Make sure to pop those Snowflakes when soloing and manage your potions smartly, especially while using Power Guard.
Gearing for Accuracy: Why It Matters
• Fighters start needing accuracy in the second job. Most monsters you train on early have low avoidability, but once you hit higher levels, your hits will start missing — a frustrating experience if you're not prepared.
• By default, a clean Fighter with no gear will have around 26 accuracy. Here's how to easily bump that to 90+, even with just 30 base DEX.
Weapon Mastery Gives Accuracy
Leveling Weapon Mastery to 20 will give you ~20 free accuracy by your late 30s. That's a great start.
Level 35 Gear Recommendations
1. Level 35 Overall (Male or Female)
• Scroll with 10x 100% Overall DEX Scrolls
• Adds 10 DEX → +10 Accuracy
2. Lionheart Sword (Level 35, 2H Sword)
• Fast attack speed, one of the few fast 2H swords
• Try to find one with:
• 10 DEX
• 60 weapon attack
• 15 Accuracy
These are usually affordable in the auction house.
3. Work Gloves
• Go for 3 DEX / 6 Accuracy gloves early on
• Costs around 400k Artale mesos
• Upgrade to weapon attack gloves later
4. Red Snowshoes
• Try to get +6 accuracy
• This will hold you over until you can scroll better shoes
Level 42 Quests and Scrolls
At level 42, complete:
• Bone Helm Quest
• Icarus Cape Quest
Scroll these with:
• 100% Helmet for DEX Scrolls
• 100% Cape for DEX Scrolls
These will cost a couple million mesos, so consider doing this around your late 40s to early 50s when you have more funds. This setup will bring your total accuracy close to 90, and with a Sniper Pill, you'll hit 100+ easily — all with only 30 base DEX.
Earrings — Skip for Now
Earring scrolls are super overpriced right now. It's better to skip earrings for now and upgrade them last once your main gear is complete.
AP Distribution: Simple and Efficient
Your AP build as a Fighter should be straightforward:
• 30 Base DEX
• All other points in STR
With the gear and scroll setup mentioned above, there's no reason to invest more in DEX. Keep things clean and efficient.
Final Thoughts and Next Steps
Thanks for watching and checking out this guide! I know Fighters aren't the flashiest second job in Artale, but once you have a solid SP plan and some proper gear, they're extremely fun and satisfying to play.
Here's a quick recap of what you should focus on:
Skill Priority:
• Weapon Mastery → Rage → Power Guard → Final Attack → Weapon Booster
Accuracy Gear Goals:
• 90–100 accuracy with 30 base DEX
• Gear includes Lionheart Sword, scrolled Overalls, Gloves, Red Snowshoes, Bone Helm, and Icarus Cape
Training Efficiency:
• Use Power Guard to save potions
• Use Rage when soloing
• Use Snowflakes wisely
